MCM worked with architects at iN STUDIO to design and engineer the lobby for the headquarters of Spin Master.
Spin Master’s main staircase is inspired by the toy company’s Jumbling Tower game but had to be lightweight to accommodate the space. MCM built hollow pine boxes that gave the appearance of solid wood without compromising on the design or the quality.
For the lobby’s signature wall, MCM used a CNC router to sculpt solid blocks of maple into a statement about Spin Master’s brand. These blocks were then mounted in front of a perforated wood panel wall that serves as an acoustical treatment for the space.
The end product is a beautiful lobby that provides unique details telling the Spin Master story, while providing the necessary sound reducing benefits of the MCM acoustical wood products.
