Microperforated Sandwich Panels for Acoustic Control
MCM Acoustical’s Microperforated Sandwich Panel offers strong built-in acoustical absorption while providing the beauty and warmth of natural wood veneer. The micro-perforation on the face of the panel channel sound to the no-added urea formaldehyde fiberglass core where it is absorbed.
The Microperforated Sandwich Panel can be manufactured to the desired size, with shop drawings produced by MCM Acoustical, thereby requiring no field cutting for faster installation. The Panels are available in five thicknesses: Type 12 – 7/8” thickness, Type 19 – 1 1/8” thickness, Type 25 – 1 3/8” thickness, Type 38 – 1 7/8” thickness and Type 50 – 2 3/8” thickness.
The Microperforated Sandwich Panel can be customized in a variety of wood veneers. MCM Acoustical lays-up its own veneer so slip-matched, book-matched, random or custom matched lay-up choices are available.
The Panels can be finished in standard clear lacquer or can be custom stained to match a control sample. The Microperforated Sandwich Panel can also be painted.

Fire The Microperforated Sandwich Panel are Class A Fire-Rated interior wood finish products as per ASTM E84 and CAN/ULC S102, and are tested in an accredited NVLAP test facility as a finished composite product using Class A individual components.
Acoustic
Performance
Acoustic The face of the panel has a microperforated to allow the sound to enter and disperse inside the panel. The core of the panel has rigid fiberglass to absorb noise, giving an NRC of up to 0.80 (Type 25) with no need for further acoustical treatment behind the panel.
Acclimatization
AcclimatizationLike any other architectural natural wood product, the Microperforated Sandwich Panel are to be acclimatized inside a controlled interior environment for at least 72 hours before installation. During storage, prior to installation, during installation, and after installation the relative humidity level of 30%-55% and a temperature range of 15.5°-32°C (60°-90°F) must be maintained.
